Greyghost - my deepest apologies. I realised I had posted on the wrong board and didn't want to cause problems by having it on 2 boards.

I am sorry if I haven't been clear on the info. I already have. It's been a while since I have posted on here.

I have the CWGC record.
and the widows pension record for Mrs Ella Coyne of 5 prospect Place, Blands Cliff, Scarborough, formerly 9 Leading Post Street.

But then as safc pointed out on the 1911 census ella is living in Eastboroug.

However there is no Gustavus on the 1911 and I can't find him on any other census.

Again my sincere apologies for any frustration I have caused, I am most grateful for
any responses and help of people's valuable time

So, you've just deleted all the stuff I'd posted on find Ancestors where you posted originally.

Never mind you had the info - WE don't know what info you have, so posting as finding.

You didn't post the name Patrick nor addresses from the Pension records which may help , nor that his residence was Scarborough -

I am researching WW! veterans that appear on our local church War memorial and would really appreciate some help from finer brains than mine on solving a conundrum.

I have a
Gustavus Coyne
he was a Corporal with the Royal Horse and Field Artillery soldier no. 2755
I believe he was born in Dewsbury c1881 as Gustavus P Coyne-Gardiner although on his war casualty CWGC record he is just listed as Gustavus Coyne.
He married in 1909 and there is a widows' pension record for his wife Ella and son Terence
However this is my problem - I cannot find him Anywhere on a Census at all and it's driving me crazy!

I may be missing something along the way (like a brain ) but would really be glad of a fresh pair of eyes on this.

Many thanks :-)
