Find Ancestors

Could some please help me, I am trying to find Mary Ann Gibson b 1826 Northington Hampshire to Ann Tibble and Thomas Gibson, I have her in 41,51,61 and 71 census and then ...nothing, in the 71 census she is working as a servant in Kilmeston Hampshire, I looked for marriage, death....nothing. I would appreciate any assistance

Is this the record you cite from 1871??

If so, it isn't your Mary Ann Gibson ..... this one was born in 1846. The image does say age 25.

I did wonder if you were correct with your dates, 'cos Mary Ann Gibson born Swarrington kept turning up!!

if all else fails, you don't even need any name!!!


you can search on birth year +/- 5, plus birth county and birth place

OR county of residence and place of residence

OR father's christian name and/or mother's christian name


Can work very well if they are living in a small place .................


you do end up having to search through pages of entries seeing if you can spot the badly mis-spelled surname or the possible marriage.
