Born 1820 s. On all census returns gives birth place as Taynton Gloucestershire Can not find birth details or parents names..He married Elizabeth Hawkins and they lived in Redmarley Worcestershire.

It may be that he was born elsewhere and brought up in Taynton.

Have you found any siblings and tracked them through census returns? It may be that an older sibling would give a different place of birth.

Failing that, following his parents through censuses might give another clue.
