Find Ancestors

Hello there.
Trying now to find a Dennis (or Denis) Hutchins, born about 1923 to 1925.
Was a nephew of Percival Aldridge from St Giles, Oxford, supposedly his sister's son.
I have a copy of the 1901 census - Percival's only sister showing was a Miranda Aldridge aged 37.
On the 1891 census there is a Mary Aldridge aged 27, I will assume at this stage they are the same person.
Considering when Dennis was born, Miranda / Mary would have been too old to be the mother.
Both the 1891 and 1901 census' also show a servant Emma C Godfrey aged 19 and 27 respectively.
Any ideas how I can find any records pertaining to Dennis Hutchins please.

The place to look for bmds is www.freebmd.org.uk ... they will eventually carry them all from July 1 1837 to 1983 (1983 being the year when all records were put on the comuter). At the moment, they are upto about 1925 or so, with new records being added all the time.


The only Dennis Hutchins on there showing for the period 1922 to 1927 anywhere in England and Wales is this one, with mmn being Peasegood.

Wow Rose, you have opened up a whole new realm. I thought Percival would have been married prior to his 'marriage' to Florence 'Wright' (which is still yet to be confirmed).
Re your first reply and the marriage entries. Is that an entry under both names (Aldridge and Hutchins) or am I misreading it? My Percival's second name was Loe so that will surely be him.
I was hoping this enquiry would lead to the extended Aldridge family and it looks as if you have found some. Those names and dates all seem to tie in.

I have now confirmed via the marriage cert for Percival Aldridge to Florence Hutchins that we have the correct family on the 1901 census listed above.

Moving on now to the possible whereabouts of Dennis Hutchins. Is there any way I can search on line via electoral rolls or somewhere to try and trace him or his descendants? I know it is a needle in a haystack.

Also want to look for death for Florence Aldridge (born Hutchins about 1880) anytime up to 1930's.
