LOL!
So she's really Mary Eliz. She lands in Halifax in May/1911. A nurse.

I don't see her in Canada 1911. Maybe she's in Vermont. (shoot me)

Oh, I hadn't noticed that, Maureen! I've never seen them do that before. It says she was born London, England and arrived in Canada May 1911 at Halifax aboard the Mongolian.

She should be on the 1911 Canadian census, it was taken in June but I can't see her.

The long way around! I think I hurt my neck trying to imagine the voyage.

The next page,though...is that a continuation????

Morning, Maureen, I'm always up early.
Early to bed, early to rise, me.
I just hope that Irene comes back to the thread to find out that the info was wrong.
I wondered why someone going from Regina Saskatchewan to Minneapolis would travel through St. Albans, Vermont!

MaureeninNY

MaureeninNY Report 30 Jan 2011 12:02

LOL!!!!!!!!
I'm just going to put this here for a second or two.
Wow,that image looks so different. She's a nurse, born England. Last lived in Regina (That'll be Sask,I hope).
Going to Minneapolis.

The kicker is that it doesn't look like the port of entry was Vermont. Looks more like North Dakota!!!

Good morning and aren't we up early!

Best,
Maureen

Edit: Obviously leaving this here....otherwise M/bull is talking to herself again.

The original of that border crossing says she's a nurse, age 31, born England, last permanent residence Regina, Canada, no relatives in country from whence she came and she's heading for Minneapolis, Minnesota.
However the port of entry is not St. Albans, Vermont. It's Portal, North Dakota.
