Hi I am trying to find my great grandfather William Henry Churchill who was born in Tipton in either 1875 or 1877, he claims his father was James Henry Churchill but I can find no record of either. William was married to Albina Blackham. Please help am desperate!! Susen Smith

The William who is married to Albina in the 1901 census stated his place of birth as Smethwick. Where have you got the name of William's father from? If it is from a marriage certificate, what is his occupation. Pete

This all looks great, apart from the name of the father is wrong. Until there is some clarification it seems rather pointless doing too much Pete

It is worth noting that Joseph E Churchill (William's father in 1881) is a Printer. Liz

I have checked on familyrelatives.org. If he was born in Smethwick this is the only birth on the index which would fit: Churchill William Henry Kings Norton.6c 477 Birth Q3 1875 If however he was born in Tipton, these are the only 2 that will fit.
