Rousell of Merriott Somerset

Is there anyone researching the Rousell's of Merriott in Somerset. I'm a bit stuck. Am looking for the parents of Mary Rousell b abt 1817 gave birth to a daughter Elizabeth Ann (known as Ann) 1840 at Merriott. I have her on the 1841 census living with William Rousell but I'm not sure if this was father. I don't want to go too far down the William Rousell line if its not her father. Elizabeth Ann was iligitimate. Thanks, dawn
