Hello Sue. Can you help me with either of these two families, please: Blacksmith in Rawmarsh and Boler in Tinsley. MAry Ann Blacksmith eventually married William Boler possible in the 1830's. Thank you Helen

hi JONATHAN. a few entries for richard shipley.most of the records for notts are marriages. nottinghamshire -abstracts of marriage licenses. 1577-1700 archdeaconry court 22 june 1678. richard shipley of papplewick [husband/widower] and elisabeth hodgkinson of newstead, spinster aged 30. st nicholas's notts 1562-1812. on the 10/2/1739. richard shipley of st peters and mary banks of this parish. marriages at annesley 1599-1812 13/5/1675.richard shipley of blidworth and elizabeth kitching of paplewick. marriages at thorney 1561-1837 richard shipley and anne grubb 13/1/1692/3. hoping one of these is yours. sue.

hi PAULINE, no trouble at all , it is really easy to check this disc. only 1 entry for 'hannah cass' hope it is yours. burghwallis parish register. baptism-18/4/1813. born 10/3/1813. hannah cass dau of thomas cass [cordwainer] of heywood. and ann [his wife [maiden name IMMISON] hope this helps, sue.

Hi Sue You've already done one look up for me. Please can I beg another for the surnames Acomb and Cass. I'm particulary looking for birth records of Hannah Cass (father John) nad Matthew Acomb (father James) both born c1820 in Yorkshire, probably in York area. Any help appreciated. Regards Pauline

marian, had another look. entered 'jaglin' rotherham marriage 20/10/1811 jeremiah pollard <M> ann jakling [signs[T?]akling B.B.jaglin] looks like the transcribers had problems with this name too, sue.

hi marian, i entered ' eagling' and nothing came up. i then entered jagling and only had one result. rotherham marriages. 26 sept 1814. john nixon <M> amelia jaglin [signs 'jackling' B.B. 'jagling'] have copied it as it appeared, hope it makes sense to you, lol sue.

Sue, do your records cover the village of Oxspring, West Riding? If so, please could you see if there is an 'Eagling' family around 1800-10? (It might possibly be 'Jagling' I can't decipher the certificate I have). I am looking for an Amelia. Thank you, Marian

LAURETTA sorry most of the entries are pre 1837. i think yorkshire bmd has some coverage of that area, you might be able to get his b cert from there, good luck, sue.
