My great grandfather, Edward Robert Terry, born in Poplar seems to be missing from both the 1881 and 1891 censuses (but found on the 1901 censuses living in London) although his family has been located. My grandmother (his daughter) always told me he was Irish but his parents don't appear to be and I've got his birth cert showing he was born in London. I think it is possible he was sent to Ireland (why???) for a while, is there any way I would be able to check (I remember my grandmother mentioning both Galway and Dublin)? Helen |

Thanks April, I'll give it a try (but could be looking for a needle in a haystack!). Helen |
