identifying grandma's birth father

*Not much hope of finding my nana's birth father from just her middlename on her birth certificate. In 1899 it was common to give an illegitimate child their father's surname as a middle name.
A kind GR member said "look at local court cases of the time" + surprise,surprise .. although my great-grandma was not rich we found the affiliation order for my nana with my great-grandfathers full name . So never give up even if you don't find an ancestor on trees there may be other ways
We now also have a photo from his alien registration form in 1917.
