A brother and sister were reunited

Chris in Sussex Report 23 Sep 2018 03:03

As often happens my dad lost touch with his only sibling, a sister.

She moved to Australia in the mid 1960s, a £10 pom :-D, and they kept in contact through the old blue airmail letters until the late 1970s.

Somehow they lost contact :-( but when I joined Genes I managed to track down my cousin, her son, and we put them back in contact.

By then they both had email and constant messages were swinging back and forth.....And best of all his sister came to stay in 2015 and I had the pleasure of taking Dad, Mum and Aunty for an extended holiday back to where Dad and Aunty were evacuated in WW2.

Sadly Aunty is no longer with us....But we all treasure the time we had together that was only possible due to Genes Reunited.
