Teresa With Irish Blood in Me Veins

Teresa With Irish Blood in Me Veins Report 7 Nov 2007 11:52

I've been searching for over 4 years for any info on the 12 siblings of my Grandma, Sarah Davis born 1880 in Bristol.

I've managed to obtain birth and death certificates of some...which has proved mighty difficult as all the Davis families in Bristol seemed to have given their children the same names as my family!

By placing a Trying to Find message on the Boards I was recently rewarded with a contact, Hilary. Her father was the informant (a nephew) of Sidney Davis's death.

Hilary kindly sent me a photo of Sidney, his wife and small child, for which I shall be forever truely grateful.

The bigest surprise was how much my Dad and Sidney, his uncle, looked so alike at the same age. Amazing!

Without the use of GR's website, I would never have obtained such a treasure.

Sadly, my Dad died before I was able to show him this photo.
