Dea

I don't have the option either .

....................... and I have started a couple of threads, and the option was not there.

Thanks Flick,

I thought it would be on there for the thread originator but when I wanted to do it on a thread that I had originated, it still wasn't there for me ???

Perhaps 'it' has decided that I am not to be trusted with this facility ?? :-(

I agree Flick. It's very misleading indeed.

I actually prefer the OP to put 'Sorted/Completed' or whatever, into their heading.

I've just done a sample 'new' posting on Find Ancestors.

'Mark this as answered' is one of the options for the originator of the thread.

Haven't seen the facility anywhere else.............

I agree Flick, a lot of people seem to be using it to tick a post which someone has added to say that they have replied to that poster. - It is very confusing.

What is baffling me though is that all these usually 'new' and certainly 'confused' people, have managed to find out how to actually do this when I can't for the life of me see where the option is to add that green tick. :-D

Perhaps someone could enlighten me?

Is it just me who hasn't got one?

Please change this column heading to RESOLVED, or even COMPLETED.

A number of threads have this column ticked where no solution has been found.

The people doing this seem to think they have to click 'answered' when they reply on the thread!
