It's strange Ann, because I've never experienced any problems with this site, yet so many do. I think some 'clear' explanation should be given as to 'why' this is the case.

Yes, I put it in here

OK Joy, sorry, didn't see it. I'll delete this thread in a minute.
Piers think yourself lucky then. I am on ZA and my server is Firefox, provider is Virgin. Don't know if it is any of those or a combination but when it times out it is a very quick time out.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 19 Jan 2012 12:59

The other thing Joy is that thread is quite long and I don't think a lot of people read it now.

Ann, as a matter of interest, have you tried changing from ZA to see whether the problems you are experiencing are the same ?.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 19 Jan 2012 13:14

No Piers because I like ZA as I don't get the adverts. It may be something today to do with the thread on the announcements board. Also my font on here suddenly went a lot smaller.

I just logged out of my account Ann and then tried to access the ZA site. Normally, when I Iog in I have no delays or problems, but on the ZA site this wasn't the case - took quite a while. However, I understand what you're saying and appreciate that you shouldn't have these problems anyway. Hope GR manage to sort this matter out for you and everyone who has the same problem :-)

Leave it here, please, Ann.

Phil Moir and other members of staff have experienced errors at various times.

I use various browsers, co.uk, za etc.

Hi Ann,

please could you let me know exactly where you saw this message on the site? We also need to know internet browser you are using, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.

Many thanks,

Estelle

Estelle

you posted:-

"We also need to know internet browser you are using, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox."

But Ann wrote:- "I am on ZA and my server is Firefox, provider is Virgin.

so she has already answered the question you asked

Thanks Sylvia

Estelle as above I am on the latest Firefox, I log in on ZA and my provider is Virgin.

I have got this message when trying to get in to GR when I am already logged in. The first time I click on GR I almost immediately get that message, the second time I click I usually get straight in.

OK, you should not be seeing an error like that. At worst you should see either the old "friendlier an error has occurred page" (the one which seems to stalk some members) or sometimes you might get a complete site not responding error. It's not fixing the error, but thank you for making me aware of the error. Before I left the office I did a check on number of errors recorded since the release this morning, and it was definitely lower than the on previous days at the same time. We fixed a few bugs this afternoon, but we will continue to look into the issues that we find. Sorry AnninGlos for your bad site experience.

The same error message I posted about in here, Phil:
