I posted this on another board, it was suggested I put it here because someone at GR may read it.

Try adding a name to your tree, born in Sydney New South Wales Australia.

The GR system AUTOMATICALLY defaults to SYDNEY WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

Look at a map - Sydney is on the EAST coast.

I notified GR about this by email at least twice, first time I think was over two years ago. Got a blah blah reply "thankyou for bringing this to our attention"...... but it hasn't been fixed.

Not every place on earth is on automatic default, but the ones that are on GR should be correct!

I tried it and confirm that the offered place name is wrong.

At least Sydney is recognised whereas Melbourne isn't. :-S
