DazedConfused Report 24 Jun 2013 16:33

Yet the person responsible will not be dealt with. WHY???

This has now gone beyond the realms of the ridiculous to the downright nasty.

Spiteful and childish to say the least....

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 24 Jun 2013 16:26

and here we go again - this is getting really ridiculous now

I've posted part of my 2nd email to Genes and their reply on the Hooray henry/Henrietta thread on chat.
Basically my thread was removed to ...avoid any further unpleasantness.

I hope the Trigger Happy RR'r was warned at the very very very least.

Lets hope Genes get their act together and sort all this out once and for all - and please re instate Joys thread.

LadyScozz Report 24 Jun 2013 11:14

look at the Hooray thread on General Chat

What a joke

If I get a "warning" from GR over this I WILL NOT BE A HAPPY LITTLE VEGEMITE

Nudge because this thread is still relevant and also GR have not lifted their heads out of the sand to acknowledge this thread or this problem yet.

........... or not a victim of the current happenings

and sometimes maybe a little intolerant of others ................

after all, we are all under restrictions as to what we can post on these Boards, often from GR, but also for other reasons.

Thus we can only talk in generalities ........ and suggest that some changes need to be made.

InspectorGreenPen

InspectorGreenPen Report 9 May 2013 18:22

Unfortunately I still find it all confusing, and I speak as a member who has been made a victim in the past too, but then I'm not an expert, apparently.

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 9 May 2013 12:59

Not at all confusing for those of us who have been victims.............

InspectorGreenPen

InspectorGreenPen Report 9 May 2013 07:49

All very confusing.

Rambling Report 8 May 2013 14:59

Malicious reporting can only be proven by GR. when there are an 'excessive' number of reports ( which do not have any foundation in the T & Cs, and are therefore subsequently reinstated by GR) made by the same person/persons without (at least) reasonably coherent and well argued reasons for reporting, and in a recogniseable 'pattern' .

That's why, imo, if a thread post has upset you or you feel it has broken T & Cs by being offensive etc...you should follow it up with a complaint even when it has been reported by someone else , ie only one person needs to press 'report' for the post to be 'put on hold' but that does not give a clear report to GR of the LEVEL of complaint... which might have been half a dozen people or more about to press the 'report' button at the same time... thus confirming to GR that it was not just a 'one person complaint' .

Malicious reporting,

Answer, from with malice, malicious intent

malĀ·ice
[mal-is] Show IPA

noun
1. desire to inflict injury, harm, or suffering on another, either because of a hostile impulse or out of deep-seated meanness: the malice and spite of a lifelong enemy.

2. Law. evil intent on the part of a person who commits a wrongful act injurious to others.

Synonyms
1. ill will, spite, spitefulness; animosity, enmity; malevolence; venom, hate, hatred; bitterness,

Proving is another matter but if a member repeatedly reports threads/posts of a single or group of members without proper grounds for example; not in breach of the rules T&C and guidelines, then that could be an indication of guilt

Roy

InspectorGreenPen

InspectorGreenPen Report 8 May 2013 14:36

Question:-

What is the definition of malicious reporting and how would you prove it?

Gai

Gai Report 8 May 2013 12:25

If it's the same person doing the reporting and there is nothing wrong with the post then they should be banned for a period of time.

I miss a number of the posts before they are reported as these often happen during our night time but given that so many experienced members are in up roar, GR has a serious problem.

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 8 May 2013 09:06

It isn't going to happen..........or, at least, not in the case currently in question.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 7 May 2013 19:15

it does indeed

I've had 3 or 4 this weekend, another 2 today.

Porkie_Pie

Porkie_Pie Report 7 May 2013 18:57

We were told that Malicious reporting would be severely dealt with and any member found to be guilty would be removed from the site but it continues
