I've just had a look at one of my trees on FTM. Let's just say one is never far from some sort of relative. So I had a look at one I knew to be both 3rd + 4th grandfather, his box was a dotted line as were his forefathers. But I only found him the once - this could be how FTM do it.

I'd suggest a chat with Ron if you want it printed.

I have a very large tree, as it incorporates my partners family tree too. Has anyone had experience of having a huge tree printed? Also the problem of people being in the tree more than once.

I would try http://www.genealogyprinters.com/ first - the people that run it are members of Genes Reunited. :)

Thank you Community Manager Shelley -I have only 100 relatives (as I am only doing Direct lines)

Thank you DetEcTive. I shall be investigating all leads-even Smart Draw.

Sorry for delay in replying to you both - Grandparent duties!
Regards Ann

See the instructions on

If its a large tree the system probably won't support the printing. In any case you could end up with reams of paper you'd need to stick together.

From memory, the tree would look similar to what you see on the Tree Screen.

GR has a link to MyHistory who will professionally print for a fee

Before this tie-in, many members have used http://www.genealogyprinters.com/ and have been very satisfied with the results.

Hi Ann,

We do offer the facility to be able to print trees. The print option can be seen in the top right of the screen on your tree page.

How many relatives do you have in your tree?

For extensive trees (too large to print), we recommend using a tree-printing service such as MyHistory, who offer Genes Reunited members 10% off
