Have been using it all day no problem.

Last time I had a problem was when they added the ER's so the demand was heavy

I always do my searching on the main site and then use the info found (date etc) to use on fmp to get the image It's easier that way

I must admit that I don't usually have any trouble with Findmypast but I've just logged on for the first time today and got the message you mention Reggie.

It really isn't good enough. If they take your money for a year's subscription you should be able to access the site at any time.

My gripe about FMP is the 'newspaper' archives

If I go direct to the archive site and pay for 24hr access I have no trouble finding bits and pieces about family members. This used to cost about £6.00 and proved to be money well spent..

But these exact same articles never come up when I use the FMP site (I have full membership to FMP).

A real pain....

It's well seen that they are owned by the same parent company.

Fed up with the message about 'experiencing very high demand'

Why don't they get a server which can cope........................

I know this is not strictly relevant to GR, but they are from the same 'stable'
