Hi
I am struggling to find traces of My Mum's family. Her Dad was Herbert Barber b 1887ish, d. 1971. Her Mum Harriet Long 1886 -1970. Harriet was commonly known as Kitty, as she was a nanny, and the family she nannied for could not be bothered to think of their new Nanny's name, so as the old one was Kitty she became Kitty. I am afraid that this has caused her to get lost, as I think she may have been listed under the wrong name in the 1911 census. She was born in Holmfirth, and married in Oldham. I am trying to trace her parents, and get to know more about them. Mums Mum was a keen churchgoer (C/E) We have been to Holmfirth church, thinking that there may be a Long grave, but to no avail. Can any one help anywhere?
Thank you
Liz
