I am trying to reasearch my husbands family. His grandfather was born 11/10/1893 at Elbow Corner Basingstoke. His father was James Thomas born 1856 and his mother Harriett formerly Mills can anyone help me please.

Arthur Rupert Goodyear joined up on 18th December 1911 to the Hampshire Royal Horse Artillery. He was 18 years 2 months and was in the employ of Wallis & Stevens as a turner (apprenticeship finished 1914).

Address at the time was 69 Church Street, Basingstoke, which matches the 1911 census address.

He was 5' 4", fair, wore glasses and had good physical development with a chest measurement of 34 1/2" fully expanded.

Discharged 24th April 1917 - termination of engagement.


Next of kin given as his father Thomas Goodyear of 69 Church Street, Basingstoke.

I am trying to find out who the parents of James Goodyear born about 1815 and Hannah formerly bailey are and any information anyone may have on this. I know they had harriett, william, ellen and james thomas and if anyone can give me details of their spouses children etc I would be grateful
I know James Thomas married Harriett formerly Mills and they had 4 children and only two lived not sure when Alice May died?

Can anyone help I have found out that Arthur's parents were James and Hannah formerley Bailey and they had Hariette, William, Ellen and Thomas do you know if they married?
Also James parents were James & Ann can anyone give any info on this please as I am having difficulty finding them?
