i would appreciate anyone who can help me,i have done some research on my husbands side of the family,his fathers name was george leslie bainbridge born 5/1/1923 -from this i have found his father albert edward bainbridge born march 1873 in new shilan durham aged 8 his residence was 2,cradock terrace shildan durham aged 18 his residence was tinkle street ,i presume still in shildan durham,he was an apprentice draper apparently my husbands uncle said he was from the bainbridge family who had a large store in newcastle called bainbridges,but dont know if this is a true account,at 28yrs in 1900 was supposed to of been married to margeret barker in holy trinity,yorkshire england residence was 238 hessle road possibly still in yorkshire england,occupation draper which seems to be right,but here,s where it gets confusing all my husbands father and brothers and sisters mother was elizabeth ann robinson.can anyone sort this mess out for me and put me on the right tracks again thank you to anyone for any info or could lookup for me

i would appreciate anyone who can help me,

i have done some research on my husbands side of the family

,his fathers name was george leslie bainbridge born 5/1/1923 -

from this i have found his father albert edward bainbridge born march 1873 in new shilan durham

i know that ,but why is it that his children ,s mothers name was elizabeth ann robinson on their birth certificates,and it is right because i have checked my late father in laws birth,also all his siblings

ALL George's siblings were born in BIRKENHEAD....the last in 1932.

Have you got George's birth cert...for accurate parental info?

If you have, what is the father's occupation?

oh i know what had happened now,because my husbands uncle told us a story ,saying his his father had been disowned by his family as he was supposed to of fell in love with one of the lady servants in his home,and he was left out of any inheritance,maybe that was the reason why.,he was a bigamist ,oh my god what a shock that is,i thought something wasn,t adding up now i know why thanks for your help everone ,i,m addicted now

On the 1881 census Margaret's mother is living with them and her surname is Emmerson she is a widow

if the 1881 cesus is correct why is margerets mothers name is emmerson if margeret surname is barker.
