HI Lynn, I also havethe same Francis and Harriet in my tree. My grandmother was also a Bettles descended from their son Frederick Charles b1850

Hi Sandra
I have Bettles in my family tree who were born in Islington. I have a Francis born St James , Middx ( though he may also have been known as James) who married a Harriett Mitchell who was born in Falmouth.They had 6 children . I think there is a connection. My grandmother was a bettles.
I know this posting is several years old - so hope it finds you.

Trying to find Hannah Louisa Bettles who married Joseph Howe Cheetham in 1883. Born 1861 and lived in Islington. Parents were Francis Bettles and Harriet Williams Mitchell from Falmouth in Cornwall.
