Thank you so much for your reply, & i do have the 1911 Census of the Household...but its the birth Place of Annie Callaghan i cant find.

June, it does sound like you and Alana have the same Annie (same father's name, and Alana is probably referring to Patrick being reported as deceased on Annie's 1888 marrige certificate). So we could always use this thread to try to find more info about her, especially as you've been so nice as to reply to Mike. ;)

Do you have Annie and Patrick Farrell in a census after their marriage? Their children's names and years of birth? I can't see them in 1891.


(Although I do see that's not who the original thread was about ... not sure why Alana "replied" here ...)

HI ALANA.
Just come across you message.
Im also looking for any info on My Nan Annie Callaghan & her Father was a
Patrick Callaghan, my Nan was born abt 1870 so we believe.
But trying to find her birth has been awful.
She was brought up in Middlesbrough Yorkshire.
She went on to Marry a Patrick Farrell my Grandad...in 1888
I have her Marriage Cert...she died in 1936 in Middlesbrough.
This may not be the same Annie your looking for. June.

HI JANICE SORRY HAVE TAKEN SO LONG TO REPLY BUT GOT SO FRUSTRATED AT TRYING TO FIND ANNIE CALLAGHAN I JUST THREW THE TOWEL IN FOR A WHILE .
ANNIES FATHER WAS PATRICK CALLAGHAN HE DIED BEFORE 1888 AND THATS ALL WE KNOW
DOESNT SEEM TO BE ANY CONNECTION
BUT WHO KNOWS
JUST CANNOT FIND ANY TRACE OF HER BEFORE HER MARRIAGE EVEN WITH VARIATIONS ON THE SPELLING OF HER SURNAME SEEM TO HAVE HIT A BRICK WALL SO FAR THANKS ANYWAY EILEEN

Hi Eileen
My ggrandfather was called Owen Callaghan dob 1854 & one of his children was Ellen dob.1884 but she was born in Cardiff & Owen was from Cork but I don't know where. Owen married a Johanna Sullivan who was born in Dublin. Any connection?

Researching my Irish grandmothers family, Callaghan. Her name was Ellen.Her father was Owen. They lived around Macroom area. Co.Cork.
