Also the chances of Mark seeing this are pretty remote as the original posting is dated 2006

Hi Mark,

I think your Crapps are definitely in the right area .
I think she was a servant at the house of William J Frethy Famer at Treverras 1881 (St Just In roseland )
Her parents were Mary Furze and John Crapp
She married George Devonshire.-my great grandfather -and lived in Grampound. She had I believe 3 children Florence, Sylvia and Edward Gordon, but some sources don't mention the latter who was my grandfather.

Sarah, Do you have any more info on Edith Crapp? I don't seem to have her in my own database, but it is certainly possible (quite probable) that she is connected to people in the database. You mention St Austell. Is this the registration district or was she born in St Austell itself? Most of my Crapp relations came from St Columb, Grampound area and the mid-Cornwall area. So it is quite likely there is a connection. I am more than happy to look into this further if you have any more details, it would make it much easier :) If you contact me then I can supply my email etc so we can work on this if you like. Mark
