was he officially adopted or just 'handed over' as you said. If he was officially adopted then there should be some records some where. He would have to apply to see them via social services. |

Do you have Beatrice's death cert? This will give the informant, whether or not she was married, and address. |

Have you tried the library at Peacehaven (or nearest one to it) to see if you can find her on the Electoral Register. You may find who was living with her at the time. |

I`m trying to track down any family of my dad who was adopted. He has a birth cert but it appears to not be his as I have traced the family of that `Brian Moore` who existed himself . All I am left with are the name of his grandmother who handed him over, the street she lived in at the time and her occupation. |
