Find Ancestors

Hello folks,

I have been trying to find William Neve born c1803 Hethersett Norfolk and his wife Mary Page born c1806 Norfolk with no success after 2 years of looking where I can. Their children were Martha Neve born 1832 Norfolk, Pleasance Neve born 1834 Norfolk and Ann Neve born 1838 Norfolk.

In recent weeks, I have had contact with a fellow GR member, who said that they emigrated to the USA C1850 and that Mary died in Montcalm Co. Michigan in 1894 and to look at a family tree named the Trails of Michigan on the World Connect website , which I tried, but with no success so far .

Could you by any chance put me in the right direction as to where I could find it? I would really appreciate any thoughts you may have as I am completely stuck . . .

There is a 40 year old Edwin and 28 year old Emeline Neve in the next household, both born in England.

If you cannot find the Trails of Michigan on the World Connect site, why not ask the genes member who originally told you about it as to how to access it?
I would guess that you might need a paid subscription to ancestry to see it, is that the problem why you cannot access it?
Are they direct ancestors of yours, or just a sideline?

Yes, unfortunately it does need a paid subscription to Ancestry, but I already have GR and FMP and can't afford another subscription . . .

Go to 4th page 10 down owner of tree Minzey2008 she has William as 1811 but it is the same one.

I confess that I have never heard of the Minzey tree! What is that?! Sounds interesting though. . .
James Page Neve is also one of the pivotal folks on my research (such as I can) and would love to be able to put him on my tree!

James Page Neve is in the Minzey tree which is the Trails of Michigan one.
I do not know if he is anywhere as James Page Neve, or just James P Neve and the Page assumed.
In the 1841 census that I posted, the James there is supposed to be James Page Neve on the USA censuses. This would mean that your Martha, Pleasance and Ann are not related.
Where do you connect Martha, Pleasance and Ann to William Neve and Mary Page?

I do already have a fair amount of the Neve family on my tree, as I live in Norfolk and I am looking to find details of how Mary and William fared in the USA and also any children over there and if/when any of them died.

Thanks for your advice. I am really quite excited with all of the information all of you have found for me and I am quite overwhelmed!
The Neve family in its entirety is massive and my branch (as far as I've got to to date) comes from Hethersett Norfolk, but there are an even wider family across Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and down to Suffolk (Ethel Neve!!), so it's often difficult to tell who belongs to whom as they all use the same names for their children - pre-1837 especially!
