The 1851 which Astra found could be your Elizabeth - Queen Street is the street next to Faggy Lane.

Also the surname could well be "Pinnington" and there is this birth record:

Thanks for the info and all your help, does look like the birth is one with the mother's maiden name Pennington, but really would be good if we could find Elizabeth on the 1851 census.

How are you FBG it's been a while since we have spoke. I'm still busy with grandson 20 months so need eyes in the back of the head.

I am trying to find Elizabeth Pennington b1840 in Wigan on the 1841 & 1851 census. She married Jacob Clark/Clarke 4/12/1862 at St Cathrine's Wigan. I obtained the marriage cert and it gives her father as Peter Heaton. I found a birth record in 1840 which gives the mother's maiden name as Pennington which suggests she was illigitemate. I have searched for both Elizabeth Pennington and Heaton but can't find anything. I need her mother's christian name so that I can be sure the birth record is hers. Any help most appreciated.
