Member Since: February 2006 Posts: 2 Send Message	Trying to found out if Ann Punter born 1831 in Siston. Marryed her daughter's father. Her daughter is Ellen Punter born 1855 in Siston. Can't seem to found out if Ann marryed her daughter's father. As Ellen has her mother's surname.

Member Since: July 2008 Posts: 5,751 Send Message	Check freebmd for marriage.......... http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/ Clearly, the daughter was illegitimate.....if the father isn't named on the birth cert, you won't know if anyone she later married (if she did) was the child's father - or not.

Member Since: April 2005 Posts: 3,133 Send Message	Being a little pessimistic and going by my own tree, if she didn't marry the father fairly swiftly after Ellens birth then she probably never did. On the 1861 census Ann and 5 year old Ellen are living with her mother and brother.
