Find Ancestors

Hi all,

I am not sure if this should go as a separate thread or with the Parkinson history, she was listed as a domestic on the 1881, 1891 and 1901 Census with Mary Jane Parkinson.
I am trying to find when Christina Sharp 19 on 1881 Census, Christina Dorothea Schaub 29 on 1891 Census and Christina Salanb 39 1901 Census, (I also have her named as Christine Schaab on a will dated 1892) arrived in U.K. from Germany. I would appreciate any information of her in the England. Thanks

Ive had a look through the passenger lists using various combos of her name and no luck as yet

Did she have any siblings, or anything on her parents?

No, the only information I have of her are from the Census

i have paternal German ancestors and was told at Kew that no passenger lists are available for them as they would have come over as foot passengers on cross channel boats.They arrived here sometimes pre 1889 when a son was born in Bradford.
If they took nationalization then you would find that at Kew, The info may be online on the National Archives site

You didn't give us any UK location info - but, having looked at 1901, I see she was in Yorkshire...

Thanks for the possibility of the parents of Christina, have checked free bdm and there is a number of deaths registered in Chorlton, including Christiana who died in 1881.

It's the only one of approx age, although the forename is not quite the same - it could have been anglicised.

On the will I have, she is known as Christine, so the death is a distinct possibility.
