My ancestor Willam[ H]elmer Suling was born 8th oct 1838[my ggf] He had 2 brothers Henry Christian[born 1833] and Henry Frederick[born 1833]They were all Christened on the same day [25th Sept 1842]in Tower Hamlets.Please can anyone tell what happened to Christian?
!861 census shows William living with his ""wife"" Eliza and daughter Mary Ann[should be Sarah Ann!] Living in Devonshire Street[slum!. I would like to know about the ""boys"" parents and who was Eliza[surname?]. William took off to New Zealand alone in 1873.Please can anyone help?

You have 1833 as both birth dates ... were they twins ?

This looks like Frederick's death but no sign of Henry Christian

Trying to work out who the child born in 1845 (mis-transcribed as Hannah (Son) on the 1851) is. Can't figure out what it says so looked for the birth and it must be Herman Henry. They certainly liked the name Henry! Sorry going off at a tangent when we are supposed to be looking for Christian!

thanks again you are all onto my ancestors.Sorry Michael Henry Christian was born in 1834 not 1833 so is not a twin!He is being difficult to trace and I feel he may have gone to the States.
Still dont know what happened to William and Elizas marriage.Would still like to know about her.Their daughter Sarah Ann married in 1889 to a Henry Huggett,William going to NZ at that time was a bit of an adventure.He married a Mary Collinson in NZ who had been a fellow passenger travelling with her husband and family on the Woodlark.His name bacame Seeling thereafter[easy to see what happened there.Writing Suling could look very much like Seeling!!]
The Scottish Suling I know about but nothing else so dont know if they are related to me.
