Henry Hitt, b. approx 1786

I am trying to find more information re Hitt family. My great, great grandmother, Mary Ann Hitt b.1831, Exeter married a cousin, Robert Hitt b.1828, Otterton? Mary Ann's father was Henry John Hitt, a builder, b. approx 1808, d.3.1887?, Heavitree, Exeter and her mother was Miriam Shepherd, b.3.1807, Sulhampstead, Berkshire, d. 3.1886, Heavitree. Mary Ann, the eldest child had 7 siblings, Elizabeth m Harry Moss, Emma m Edwin Long, Harriet, Maria, Louise, William and Henry John. I think it is possible that Robert Hitt's parents are Henry Hitt b. approx. 1786, Otterton and d. about 20.2.1855 Otterton, Devon and Ann b. approx 1783, East Budleigh, Devon, d.4.3.1860?, Otterton. However I'm not sure about this. Any information regarding the Hitt family and previous generations would be much appreciated. Thanks Barbara |
