Find Ancestors

I am trying to find the birth of Elizabeth Charlotte Gibbings, the problem is she was'nt born Gibbings. She married John Knox Morgan 6-5-1888 and she was 19 her father is down as James Gibbings (Deceased). Her mother was called Charlotte and she had a previous marraige to Lewis Davies but I don't know her maiden name. Can anyone help? Many Thanks Barbara.

how do you mean she was'nt born gibbings i'm a bit confused with this one

are you saying she was born out of wedlock?

Hi Ann, I have search everything for a birth of Elizabeth Charlotte Gibbings and cannot find one nor can I find her under Davies ( a previous marraige of her mothers) so I only presume she was born out of wedlock and took her mothers maiden name unless her mother had another marraige. I am trying to find Elizabeth Charlotte Gibbings, she Married John Knox Morgan 6-5-1888 in Plymouth her father is on the marraige cert as James Gibbings (deceased) her mother was called Charlotte but not sure of her maiden name, Charlotte had also been married to a Lewis Davies and I have found Elizabeth and John on the 1901 census at 32 Victorey Street East Devonport Plymouth and living with them was a Cahrlotte Davis mother-in-law and a widow. Elizabeth had a sister called Eliza.

Hi Selena, Thanks but its not the right one. The 1901 census says Elizabeth was born Devonport Plymouth Devon. Thanks Barbara
