George Cheeseman - stud?

Hi everyone.

I'm having some major issues in a branch of my tree.

My relative George Cheeseman born 1827 in Bingley, West Yorkshire is married to an Amelia Ward (born 1826) on the early censuses. They have four kids, then on the 1871 census he is then married to a Lydia... On that census, the kids from the previous marriage are there, aswell as some new additions, which I assume are kids of both Lydia's and George's... However, also on the census are two kids with the surname white... Now when I trace these kids back, it looks as if they're from Lydia's previous marriage... However, the kids were born both on the same years as two other kids which Ithink Lydia and George had....

....This has me really confused... Can anyone lend a hand?

The children in question are
Herbert White born 1855
Luther White botn 1857
Hannah White born 1859
Henry White born 1861

these clash with the Cheeseman children

George
Martha
Mary
Daniel
(in that order)...
...anyone any ideas?

Thank you

Ahhh I understand now.... So Daniel and those before 1861 aren;t Lydia's children, they are Amelia's....

Brilliant.

Thank you everyone!!x
