I can't imagine why a grandmother should be named on a birth cert but maybe it had something to do with this?? |

If the father's name isn't on the birth certificate it usually means the childs parents weren't married |

hi im trying to find my grandad, my father Frank Boyle Roscoe born 1917 in Tottington Bury seems not to have a father as he aint on the birth cert, his mothers name was florence Roscoe Nee Brown, they have entered his granmothers name also Florence Roscoe on the birth cert instead of his fathers can anyone explain why this is, |
