Check this out:
WYMARK, FREDERICK VICTOR GREY (1872-1942), bookseller, was born on 6 October 1872 at Stawell, Victoria, son of Frederick George Wymark, a schoolmaster from England, and his Victorian wife Ann, née Sykes. Brought to Sydney as a child, Fred grew up at Woolloomooloo...[more follows]
From http://www.adb.online.anu.edu.au/biogs/A120659b.htm
Given he was a schoolmaster, the family of Samuel above looks promising. Here are Eliza & Sophia's births in Tendring, Essex (I'm assuming Sophia's age should be 3 months):
Births Sep 1839 (>99%) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wymark Eliza Tendring 12 239
Births Mar 1841 (>99%) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wymark Sophia Tendring 12 260
There's a George Glanfield WYMARK born in Tendring in 1838 that fits census but not the other info...maybe it is a different family???
Marriage to Ann was in Victoria Australia (reg 4712). If you don't have this certificate it would be worth getting to check fathers name!
