I'm trying to find Ellen May Calver b.1891 in Mildenhall, Suffolk. Her mother died when she was small, and her father, Charles, remarried. He died in 1901, and Ellen and my grandmother, Alice Phoebe were seperated and sent to live with relatives. I've not been able to find any info. on her after that.

Thanks for all this help. The 1901 census showing Charles and Charlotte, Ellen and Alice, living in Mildenhall, is the correct one. The girls' mother was Mary Jane Last, but she died in 1893, the year after my grandmother, Alice, was born. Charles remarried a couple of years later, so Charlotte was the girls' stepmother. Charles died in 1901, and my grandmother went to live with her uncle, Ezekiel Calver, in Burton on Trent, and eventually moved to Uppingham, Rutland, where she married my grandfather, George Baines. No-one knows where Ellen went. I've looked at the 1911 census, but none of them seem quite right. I've also looked for possible marriages, and even deaths. I suppose she may have been adopted, or emigrated. I'm hoping that someone will have personal knowledge of her. Anyway, I appreciate all your efforts.
