Seaham Lass - I can't believe you've found out so much in so little time! Looking forward very much to carrying on searching for more information - it's opening up a whole new world and I certainly didn't think it would go back as far as this! Thanks again. |

1841...........just in case you find a positive link..........then this might well be Margaret Hayton's family |

Pure speculation...............John Middleton and Alice Frear call their first daughter Agnes and their first son Joseph.............then bearing in mind that there's a distinct possibility that Alice's parents Edmund Frear and Margaret Hayton were married in a place called Orton in Westmorland then there is a birth for a Margaret Hayton in Orton in 1811 and she was baptised to Joseph Hayton and Agnes Huck..........maybe Alice named her first born daughter and first born son after her maternal grandparents........as I said though, it's just speculation. |

Thank you everyone for your quick responses - I'm new to this so really appreciate your help. I'm doing this on behalf of my dad (who's 73 tomorrow) who has never known anything about his grandma - Annie Stalker (Middleton). You've managed to fill a huge gap for him - what a fantastic birthday present! Thanks again. |
