Find Ancestors

Trying to find any decendants of Isaac JEREMIAH (b. 1876) and Sarah Ann (nee WATKINS - born 1877 in Llwynypia, Glams) who lived at Long Row, Upper Race, Panteg in the 1900's

There were many children who include:
Abraham (b1898), Isaac (b 1899), Thomas (b. 1901), Ellen, Rosa May (b 1905), John, William Henry, Vera (b 1910), Freda (b. 1912), Stanley, Mowena, Benjamin, Ronald & Leonard (b 1921)

Of the above children, Vera was my grandmother. It appears that she left Panteg and met and married a Londoner (George Frederick Eley) in 1938. According to the marriage certificate her sister, Rosa was present.

In March 1944 my mum was born, but tragically 2 months later Vera died of leukemia. As this was during the Blitz, my mum was put in a home and evacuated out to the home counties, where she remained. Little is know of our ancestry, especially our welsh roots.

Can anybody help in me in finding any offspring of Vera's brothers & sisters?

As jax mentioned - you go could search on freebmd for children from this marriage. Put in Jeremiah as the first surname and Long as the mothers surname with a start date of 1927.

There are four births, which I don't want to post here as they may still be alive.

Two possible marriages for Thomas - the Pontypool is the most likely, I would have thought.

He was registered under the name Watkins I think as he's listed as Watkins (Hatkins) on the 1911.

Fingers crossed that a living decendant will get in touch.

It's most unlikely that a living relative will see this and get in touch I'm afraid.

You will probably need to look through Freebmd/Ancestry as suggested to get the names of the children from these marriages, put these names into Search Trees, send messages if there are matches, try looking on 192.com to see if any of the names are on the electoral roll, send letters if there any likely matches.

Unfortunately, a connection probably won't happen unless you make it happen!!

As you say sometimes you can get the right connection and that has happened to me. My biological father found me on this website ...... we are now in touch and plan to meet each other for the first time in 44 years later in the year.
