Very well, thank you.

Please accept my apology talk soon.

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 13 Mar 2011 20:57

John, enough is enough.

You are apologising to the several people whose time you wasted by having three threads over a year about the exact same thing, people who wasted their time "finding" things you had already been given -- when you yourself had not lifted a finger in that year to pursue the information you were given, you for some reason just decided to post the same question yet another time.

Except you aren't apologising. So there's an end of that.

If it hasn't already been suggested, *read the rules*.

They're pretty easy to find; right under the box where you type, it says:

"Before posting, please read the guidelines for message board use."

and when you click there, it says, among other things,

"Please do not submit the same or similar material more than once."

And then in the instructions when you post a message, it says:

"Please don’t post about the same person or family twice as this can make extra work for the volunteer helpers. "

Maybe you'll see now.

I thank you and others for the help you have give me over the year and would never ignore any responses that I get back and who am i apoligising to as i can't see i have been "snooty" to any of you as you've been fantastic in helping me but if you feel an apoligy is needed please accept.
Kind Regards John

Gosh, that doesn't look at all like an apology any more than in your other thread. Just an attempt to be snooty and ignore what I said ...

There is a marriage in 1946 for a Constance D. Cook to a John D. Pearce but without buying certificates it's impossible to tell if the two Constance's are the same person - although it would seem likely. Both the birth and the marriage are in Edmonton.

John, the records we found are for births only.

As I said in my earlier post, you need to buy her birth certificate to get her parent's names.

John

John Report 3 Oct 2010 17:29

Thanks she fits into my tree because all my family were born in edmonton was the constance you found marreid to John David Pearce?

Probably before you go any further you need to say how she fits into your tree so that we can be sure you are following the correct line. There is no point in providing more information until we know the line is correct.

John

John Report 3 Oct 2010 17:11

I was told by family members that she may have been but most resiged in edmonton north London so this could be her could you please foward any other infromation with details relating to these individuals many thanks

Where did you get Constances birth date from?

MarieCeleste

MarieCeleste Report 3 Oct 2010 17:05

This is the nearest:

Births Jun 1917 (>99%)
Cook Constance M Hunt Aston 6d 680

Can you tell us how you found her so we can try to pick the trail up.

KathleenBell

KathleenBell Report 3 Oct 2010 17:02

I can't find any birth on Ancestry that fits with the details you have given.

John, buying the birth certificate from GRO will tell you her parents:

Births Jun 1919 (>99%)
Cook Constance D Hind Edmonton 3a 842

Edit: NinjaLady has scuppered that!
Edit2: - This does seem to be the right one as per later post!

Nope, the Constance Cook with mothers maiden name Hind was born in Edmonton, London sometime between mid March and the end of June.

Births Jun 1919
Cook Constance D Hind Edmonton 3a 842

Was your Constance definitely born in Coventry? Like Kath, I can't find a Constance Cook (or even Cooke) born in Coventry.

EDIT - sorry Anne-Marie!!
