Hello Roger,

As you have realised, you have replied to an old thread. You can try clicking on Denise's name and sending your message that way. If she still has the same email address, she will be notified.

However, if you are looking for connections on this site, the best thing to do is to put the names you are researching into the Search Trees box above (in the dark green bar) to see if anyone else on this site has them in their tree. If you find a connection, you can contact the tree owner.

Meanwhile, if you would like some help with your research, why not consider starting a thread of your own? Take a look at the Help Clinic - above left - for further advice. Cx.

Hi Denise,

This is a long shot because it's almost a year since you posted but I have a Ronald Frederick Nokes in my tree (a 3rd cousin, twice removed) although he was born about 1900. His father was Frederic Hatton Nokes who was born in Staffordshire but moved to South Africa.

I don't know what became of the Ronald Frederick Nokes in my tree but I'm wondering if he could have been an ancestor of your Ronald Frederick Nokes. Mine might have stayed in South Africa or he may have come to live in the UK.

Cheers, Roger

Denise

Gosh that was quick only background info I have his mother's maiden name was Ivy Long, married to Ronald Frederick Nokes (my father) raymond born 1946, it would be wonderful if I could trace any of raymonds relatives. I don't know if Ivy remarried.

Raymond Nokes appears to be the only child of the marriage.
What background information have you got?
Thanks

Denise
