Hi Roger,

My william was born in 1841 in Ferrybridge, Wakefield, Yorkshire. He was the son of Charles Rusby and Jane nee Wood. They had five children, William aged10, Samuel Charles, aged 9, Frances Ann aged 7, Moody aged 2 and later Caroline. Charles Rusby was the son of Samuel Rusby who was a Farmer with 50 acres. They lived at Delph Farm. I hope this is of help to you, I have access to the 1841 - 1901 census and if you need any more information about the rest of the Rusby family please let me know.

Regards Gail

Roger

I'm seeking information about William Rusby born in Yorkshire In 1839. William, my great grandfather, emigrated to South Australia in about 1866 and married Annie Potter who was born in England in 1843. I'd like to locate his birthplace and, if possible trace his parents and immediate family. My problem is that there are a few William Rusbys born about that time & my research has stalled somewhat. Any help would be appreciated. Roger Rusby
