b 1865 oldham mothers maiden name boyd she had a son gordon 1886. i cant find any trace of her after the birth. also gordon no records found until he marries in 1909 any help please regards david

Martha (and Gordon) are not with her parents in 1891, who, in ancestry, are under Weed.

I've submitted 70 corrections to A .....this week and I keep thinking surely there can't be many more ! Weed indeed !

Do you have a copy of the marriage certificate for Gordon? If there are any more details - address at time of marriage, father's name/occupation witness names etc it may help.

Also, Martha had a younger brother Miles Harry according to the 1881/91 census, but he appears to have vanished as well - could they have gone abroad perhaps? There's no sign of him on census, or a marriage or death that I can see.

So where was Gordon living when he married, and who were the witnesses, and what occupation?
