Hi.
A Moses Shurred was christened 1813 and was registered in Andover, Hampshire. His parents were Ezekial and Elizabeth., Ezekial being christened at Abbotts Ann, Hampshire in 1795. The surname varies. It can be Shurred, Sherred, Sherratt etc. Can anybody find Ezekial and Elizabeth in the 1841 census. It is possible they were travellers and could be anywhere..

Moses birth registration gives them as parents. Nothing more known.
Family search gives Ezekials birth as Abbotts Ann. Dud.

sorry I mis read your first post! Think what I found was the Father!!!! -no I don't think its a brother at all-sorry.

but 1881 may be a grandchild of Ezekiel senior?

I found Ezekial as having been christened in Abbotts Ann in 1795.. You have given food for thought as it could be Moses, I originally mentioned was Ezekial (b.1922) brother..Many thanks for the info. Dud.

There's a Moses Shearwood with wife Harriet and son Francis in Odiham in 1841. Parents are both aged 20 - but the 1841 can be way out on ages. Francis aged 1.

Does this fit in with what you have, if so, I'll give you the details (I don't know how to do cut & paste!)

Thanks for looking. I have these details and it is my Moses .(although he was telling porkies in 1841. He never married Harriett until later in Sunbury on Thames. Again Many thanks Dud.

Sorry, Dudley, I didn't read the post properly. Will have a look for Ezekiel & Elizabeth, though heaven only knows what the transcribers will have done with those names. Are you sure they were still alive in 1841?
