David

you really should not have posted 2 separate threads on the Clough family .............. especially when you know so few facts about them!

You are causing people to duplicate efforts in sorting out the information for you.

Please do remember that the people who are helping you, people like Lindsey, Flick and me, are just members like yourself, with perhaps more expertise than you, and certainly more knoeledge of where to look for information

Some of us can work wonders with the smallest bit of information, but you seem to be chasing will o'the wisps, based on very little information or even based on hearsay!

sylvia

and yes, I have duplicated this posting on the other thread

Hi, David

I've just seen your threads. On my tree I've got Fred Clough married to Alice (nee Baker) with daughters Ivy and Alice. Alice senior came to an extremely tragic end (details on my tree). I am very confident of this information as it came from people who knew them. From the Wardle and Smallbrodge History group records for baptisms or confirmations their address in 1937 was 146 Ramsden Rd. I think you've got access to my tree; if not let me know and I'll open it
good wishes
John Clough
