seeking information on Doris Birch (nee Owens) Born in 1925 Cheshire she married David Selwyn Birch on 16th June 1951 in Stockport Her Parents were Clifford Gladstone Owens and Doris Measures. David Selwyn Birch died in 1990 in Stockport but I have not located a death for his wife Doris and wonder if she is still alive. Thanks Pam

There are a couple of entries in Stockport/Cheshire which 'may' be her, but there are no age guides against the name.

If you have David's DC, check if the home address has been sold since then on

Of course, if it was rented, that won't really help! Alternatively, with the address, you could see if the street is listed on Friendsreunited and ask if anyone can remember David, and what happened to Doris

more information to continue search Doris Owens married to david selwyn birch on 16th june 1951 Doris Owens was born on 11th February 1925 Gately Cheshire Her Mother also called Doris (nee Measures) died 3 days after she was born on 14th Feb 1925 I am trying to establish if the Doris Owens that was born on 11th Feb 1925 is the sme Doris Owens that lived at 781 Atherton Road Hindley Wigan in 1947 when she was a Student Nurse I hope someone out there is maybe tracing this family that can confirm my information Many many thanks Pam

Have you looked in 'search trees'?

I'm guessing that the person you are trying to trace had a child whilst living at the address you quote

Did the Doris who married Birch have an occupation when she married?

Being born in 1925, she could well be still living ;-)

Unfortunately for you, there are no GRO index on-line after 2005/06, so we can't check to see if she passed away from then to now.

Did you buy her husband's DC? At least then you can check ER, probably at the nearest library or archive, by his last address.
