I'm tracing Elizabeth Ponton nee Riley born 1853 Langham, Rutland. I have found her in the census of 1841, 1851, 1861 and 1881 but not 1871. I'm guessing it's probably because of a transcribing error somewhere, and the variations I've tried haven't found her. I think she's in the Grantham area as she's recorded here in 1861 and is married here in 1878.

The birthplace on the image could be Melton and on the 1861 census it is given as Melton Mowbray. If I have the right family in 1861 it's her grandfather (John) who was born in Langham, Rutland.
Her occupation is given as Ladies Maid. Perhaps she added a few years to her age to give herself a better chance of getting the job.

That's definitely her!
She's on the 1861 census living with her unmarried aunt Ann and grandparents John and Elizabeth. Her grandfather was a farmer with 52 acres off Turnpike Street in Croxton Kerrial parish. :-)
