I wonder if there are any kind GR members in New Zealand who can look up our Mary Ann Bass nee Connor who disappeared from an unhappy marriage some time after the 1911 census in London. There is a female M Bass who sailed to Napier New Zealand in 1912. Could this be her - emigrating with her new man? Any help would be gratefully received.

Have deleted info posted. This request should be on existing thread:

He was my uncle - Henry Frederick Bass born 1885 to parents Frederick Henry Bass and Catherine Lydia Bass nee Court. The marriage was in December 1907. The family seem to remember there was talk of her "falling for a policeman" (no name of course). Mary Ann Connor's parents were Margaret and Joseph. Hope this helps. Are you in New Zealand?

Jennifer, no, I'm not in NZ however many of us have worldwide access.

But, I've deleted info as this should be on your existing thread as above.

It's much easier for us if the updated request is on the original thread as we than have the background info to refer to. I've added the request to the previous thread so it will come up to the front page where everyone can see it.

Might be an idea to delete this thread to avoid duplication and confusion. :-)

Sorry but I don't understand what that means. "This request should be on existing thread"

Jennifer, you already have a thread (request for info) - I've given the link above - which has information about Mary Ann Bass nee Connor.

For future reference, before posting a request go to the link called "My Threads" on the left hand side of these pages and you will get back to all previous requests (threads) that you have made. When there is a thread that already features a person then you must add your request to that thread. (Genes rules are one thread per person/family).

If you go to the very first post on that thread and click "edit" then you can amend the heading to reflect your updated request.
