Our son was born Saturday and it pushed me into doing my Girlfriends side of the family we know her grandad was called Albinas Ramanauskas and was born in Lithuania in 1921 but how do we find out when he came to England and how ??? We do know he married a Winifred Marland but don't have the date....

Albinas Ramanauskas married a Winifred Dawson in 1955 Quarter 3 Littleboro' Vol 10d page 169.


This marriage certificate should give you the name of his father.

The info showing both names was found on lancashirebmd.org.uk

I wonder if he was was of the many who came over during the war
