Which of these sons was Rachel's husband

None of them, my Grandfather had left home before 1901, he was in the Royal Irish Fusiliers, and had been in both the Boer War and India by 1901, his name was John McEvoy

Anne....You also have another post re "McEvoy"...(TTF) Best just keeping to one or we (Certainly me !) will get confused.
See... I dont know already who Rachel is....off to have a look...
Just as well I did Ann or would have been searching for BDMs and they are on that thread....
You certainly would be best to pull all the info onto one thread.....and you can also have my McEvoys if you want to throw them into the mix...

Hi Eringobragh1916!
That isn't the right Elizabeth, sorry, that's my great-aunt , my father's sister (2nd sister) was probably named after great aunt Elizabeth. Thanks, I have copies of birth, and marriage of all the Bradys mentioned in Cavan, in my family. Have actually seen the house, and have been to the old cathederal in Killeshandra (used to be in Cavan city) where my great grandparents were married. Was a wonderful trip and very emotiuonal for me! For some reason they took the cathederal down brick by brick and re-built it in Killeshandra, and built another bigger, beautiful cathederal!

Anne...I am a bit confused here...I thought you were searching for an Elizabeth McEvoy b ? Hounslow Barracks abt 1915...Well Elizabeth Rachel McEvoy who was b Cavan 1914 needs to be (relatively speaking) your fathers sister therefore your Aunt...
Your Great Aunt Eliz.would be grandfather John's sister and daughter to Daniel and Mary (Is she the one your actually looking for..)...
Help me out here...!!!
