Regarding the place of marriage of Peter fFnlay to Maria I have no knowledge. One of their children,? the eldest one, Eliza Jane, was born circa 1850 in Co Roscommon, all her siblings were born in Co. Longford. Maria was a Roman Catholic, Peter Presbyterian. All the children were reared as Presbyterian. The birth of all the children would appear to have taken place prior to the civil registration of BD&M in Ireland in 1864. |
